■ Why a .LLi?

The presence of the Leonese language and culture on the Internet is becoming more and more important.

The development of the EITs via web sites, chats, forums, messengers and other systems of communication make the request for a .LLI domain that identifies us as a cultural and linguistic community necessary.

In this respect, it is the aim of puntuLLI to obtain recognition as a Top-Level Domain of the type that are sponsored (sponsored TLD).

Within a .LLI domain, all the web sites on the international network written in our language or concerned with the encouragement and promotion of our culture may be registered. The Catalonian cultural and linguistic community obtained this status in 2005 and other communities such as those of Brittany , Galicia and Wales have made great progress in this direction.

Our language is recognised by UNESCO and by the statutory project of Castile and León, which protects and promotes it, and, therefore, puntuLLI issues an appeal for all administrations and political parties to work to this end.

PuntuLLI appeals to all associations, organizations, groups, companies, entities and private individuals to complete the form in support of this project, which will launch us internationally as what we are: the Leonese cultural and linguistic community.
